Radiant Copenhagen was a speculative reimagining of the city developed as an online platform and complemented by real-world actions.
The project started as an interactive map using Google Maps and wiki tools, where users could explore imagined future narratives of Copenhagen — from bubble architecture and suspended gravity to volcano outbreaks, environmental anomalies, fictional art projects, and future transit systems.
To launch the project, staged reality events and a guided bus tour extended its speculative narrative into the physical city. A multidisciplinary team including architects, artists, designers, engineers, musicians and literary theorists collaborated with Bojen and Ørum to jointly create this immersive vision.
The project’s online component was crafted with HTML, CSS, and Flash as a web-based work. contributors included Maja Zander; Kaspar Bonnén; Stig W Jørgensen; Palle R. Jensen; Ida Marie Hede Bertelsen; Peter Rasmussen; Kasper Hesselbjerg; David Rex; Ulrik Nørgaard; Daphne Bidstrup; Andreas Pallisgaard; and Kristin Haarløv. Rune Graunlund
