Hverdagens Helte (Everyday Heroes) consists of a series of interactive sculptures created in collaboration with Vitar Horsens Rollespilslaug (role-playing association). The work was part of "Partners," an experimental exhibition at Vejle Kunstmuseum that paired seven artists with seven local associations.

The sculptures were inspired by the role-players' own objects and toolkit, translating elements from their gaming practice into interactive art objects. The collaboration involved fieldwork where Ørum spent time with the role-playing association in their regular activities, including battles in Hansted Forest and gaming sessions.

For the exhibition opening, Vitar Horsens Rollespilslaug performed an InCrowd game at the art museum, bringing their practice directly into the gallery space. The association continued to use the museum as a venue throughout the exhibition period, demonstrating their activities alongside the artworks.

The "Partners" exhibition investigated what happens when artists and associations work together within the context of an art museum. Seven artists selected local associations they wanted to collaborate with, moving naturally within the same field of interest but from different backgrounds. The project aimed to examine new forms of dialogue in contemporary art on different terms than previously known.

The collaboration process involved both artists visiting associations for fieldwork and associations visiting the museum for workshop days that became the foundation for the exhibited artworks. Throughout the exhibition period, Vejle Kunstmuseum functioned as a "Association House" where the seven associations used the museum space as a platform to show the public what they do, through demonstrations, training, lectures and excursions.

The exhibition was curated by museum inspector Pernille Rom Bruun and featured partnerships between artists and associations including nature conservation, bird watching, boxing, gliding, gymnastics, and rabbit breeding groups. The project challenged both artists and associations to step out of their comfort zones and rethink their practices.

The other six partnerships in the exhibition were: Regitze Engelsborg Karlsen with Danmarks Naturfredningsforening Hedensted, Sofie Amalie Klougart with Dansk Ornitologisk forening Sydøstjylland, Alex Mørch with Bokseforeningen BK Nørremarken, Kasper Hesselbjerg with Danmarks Kaninavlerforening Horsens, Jens og Morten with Vejle Svæveflyveklub, and Nike Åkerberg and Hanna Una Holmquist with Vejle Gymnastikforening.
