Et Andet Rum 2 is a site-specific 3D animation by Anders Bojen and Kristoffer Ørum. The work was presented at NLH Space in Copenhagen, which was run by The Organisation – Association for Artistic and Curatorial Platforms. The animation recreates the street outside the former artist-run space, projecting a computer-generated scene onto a screen covering the window.
The animated scene acts as a virtual doubling of both the street in front and the interior space behind the window. The two spaces integrate into each other, creating a continuous fluid motion where the boundary of the window is removed. The work was part of a series of four exhibitions at NLHspace from September to December 2009.
NLHspace was initiated in 2006 by artist Nanna Lysholt Hansen and operated as an "always open / always closed" space. The exhibition allowed passersby to experience the animation in the context of the public street, exploring the relationship between site-specific art and urban space.
The exhibition opened on 8 October 2009 and remained on view until 30 October 2009. It was curated by Nanna Lysholt-Hansen and supported by Vesterbro Lokaludvalg.
