Udstillingsstedet Sydhavn Station has invited the artist Sanne Højrup to exhibit on the poster frames in the entrance hall under the railway bridge. There is no room for anything indoors.

Sanne Højrup was born in 1986 and studied BA Fine Art (Hons) at Chelsea College of Art and Design, London (2011-13). She lives and works in Copenhagen.

The posters show a series of colorful sculptures made of papier-mâché. They are built to take unfolding forms to fit on the poster frames. They have been developed in a time when the space around us does not always share our values, and where the world as we know it often seems small. This series of sculptures is therefore a form of taking place for something greater than itself - a form of expanding the space around us.

Sanne Højrup also shows a work in the exhibition hall: A fabric flap made from 14 meters of blue party material. It hangs as a kind of drying cloth on Sydhavn Station's posters.

Højrup has found inspiration for the work by looking at the traditional

Long lengths of blue cloth hang over a line across the hall, and a small wooden stool stands beneath the last one.

The exhibition was made with borrowed tools and shared materials — thanks to those living at the station.
