Tilbage i rummet

Back in the room

Sydhavn Station has a solo exhibition by Nina Madsen.

The public poster exhibition can be seen day and night on the station’s platform side.

Nina Madsen was educated at The Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts in 2015. In her works, she deals with form and materiality, where the material world is a fundamental starting point for its creation. She works with both traditional techniques such as painting and sculpture in various forms, as well as more recent wall- and sound installations.

The exhibition at Sydhavn Station consists of 14 large blue pencil drawings arranged in a sequence showing an ordinary room with doors and windows. In the room stands a row of small sculptures that make up a wall installation. The shape of the sculptures has been inspired by, among other things, dog heads in pencil drawings.

In the shadows of the exhibition space, Nina Madsen has lying a large shrouded room and on the far wall there is a sound installation with 10 small speakers playing disappointed utterances from pencil drawings. The sound was made in collaboration with Madsen's sister.

The exhibition can be seen day and night at the station’s poster frame and the exhibition space opens Thursday — Sunday, 1—5 PM

We would like to thank Nina for her participation in Sydhavn Station's program.

The radio net between the houses carries short messages in the evening.
